These Vintage Mexican Earrings date back to a most desirable period of Vintage Mexican Silver Jewelry when Fred Davis and William Spratling were the leaders of the revival of the Mexican Silver Jewelry Industry. They employed skilled Silversmiths to execute their designs and create their own superb pieces where they established shops in Taxco and Mexico City. During the first half of the Twentieth Century, silver items produced in Mexico were simply stamped "Silver" or "Sterling", and sometimes with the location as marked with these Earrings. This is prior to the Eagle Mark in 1948 and way before the Registry System started in 1979 where letters and numbers were used.
This Bold Pair of Mexican Earrings are Impressive with Weight. The Posts are set higher up giving them a drop style rather than a button style. They are both Hallmarked STERLING MEXICO on the backs.
A Sophisticated Pair of Mexican Silver Earrings to add to your Vintage Mexican Jewelry Collection! Perfect for Valentine's Day and the Christmas Season!
